Repair Procedure
ndis.sys missing (or corrupt)
Boot pc in safe mode (By hitting F8 at boot time)
If you are unable to boot in safe mode the you will need to use
a CD to boot your system so that you can replace the ndis.sys
file
The easiest solution is to buy the CD from
Spotmau called PowerSuite 2010 – see video Below
Download PowerSuite 2010 Ultimate Boot CD
Once you have booted in safe mode – Try and go back in time using system
restore
If this does not work – Boot PC in safe mode with networking (F8 – Safe mode
with Networking)
Find your operating system type (XP ,Vista ,Windows 7)
You also need to know the service pack version and if it is 32 or 64 bits
operating system.
This can be found on the Microsoft label somewhere on your PC
Or go to the “control Panel” and select “system”
Search for the correct file on the internet Or Download ndis.sys from
Here.
Copy and paste the new ndis.sys to C:\windows\system32\drivers
Note : reboot your PC in safe mode and see if all is ok – Then reboot your PC in
normal mode check that all is ok .
If you get a Microsoft error re boot again.
See if “ndis.sys “ is still ok – if it fails it means that the version of ndis.sys
you downloaded is incorrect .
usually wrong service pack – best solution is to fix
problem as above and download service pack from Microsoft site.
(see links on Download Page)
and update your PC.
